What ship are you taking to rescue the British Expeditionary Force in Operation Dynamo and what's your strategy? *pictured - a Royal Navy destroyer arriving at Dover with evacuated British soliders in May 1940* Other thing as you rotate the DD escorts is to ensure you have at least 2 DDs in the rear and 2 innthe lead at all times, the other 3 DDs that may be drifting through middle of convoy can quickly move forward or drift back as needed to reinforce or simply be relieving a DD in my reccomended Smoke rotation strategy. Taking turns with Def AA is also good idea so that no more than 1-2 DDs are using Def AA at a time to provide optimal AA protection on the Operation. So when I lay smoke I drift to the rear of convoy and if I brought friends with me they will drift up towards to head of convoy to standby for next smoke so in perfectly functioning team you almost have a rotating “ conveyor belt”of DDs escorting convoy. Since optimal strategy is lay Smoke in troop loading area and then have somebody’s smoke along the path the convoy travel ps so that convoy will be under smoke the entire time they are having to travel.
Als have the BFT skill and AA module mounted.īest strategy is to have ships take turns being in the lead of the convoy based on who used Smoke and who will be able to smoke next.
